From left to right, 'powered up' concept of Atomic Skull, Coldcast and Menagerie. While I am not in love with the Coldcast design, I did hope that the animation studio would cling to the notion of simple shapes and not being so concerned with musculature. I carried this on with the shadow treatment, just focusing on the larger masses and indicating undersides and forms turning away. The pants and boot shapes were not meant to be taken so literally. The main idea was to create the idea of baggy or loose-fitting clothing, but handling it a bit differently.
Initially, the script called for Parasite to fight with Superman. I can't recall if this was the case in the comic. We decided to switch to avoid any additional parallels with 'All Star Superman.'
As far as Menagerie, I think TMS animated her quite nicely.
